SHAKE THE DEVIL UP A BIT!

BANG! POW! WOW! YEAH! How do I explain our excitement in words. Last Tuesday the tent went up with a bang. 30 men flocked to the church compound to put up what was soon to be the church, with one more section than before. Both my dad and Pastor Safari had been hyping up this enlargement for weeks. The day had finally came and the energy levels couldn’t have been higher. The men began getting down and dirty (wanna see how dirty? Look at some of the pictures of Kenny’s back) setting up the tent as fast as possible. The beginning went quickly they got all of the outside polls up by 12:00 but then we were sent to a striking halt when they had to wash the entire inside of the tent with only 4 brushes. While they were all taking turns scrubbing the muck from the tent we fed the guys lunch, pay special attention to that slab of ugali, it was HEAVY! Then after they ate it was back to work. Those men pushed, pulled, sweat, and had some great fellowshipping time while putting up that tent. As the the final pole went up there was a loud roar and the tent was UP! My daddy had aimed to have the tent completely up by 12:00, even though it wasn’t completely finished until about 5:00 at night it still was put up in one single day. The excitement doesn’t stop with the tent. On Sunday night we had an open air (or church outside in the slums under an easy up tent) down the street and 20 people were SAVED! God is moving greatly over here. Thank you for your continued prayers. I really can’t say thank you enough you have helped so much!

Puppets! Oh my goodness! We started doing a puppet ministry in Sunday school on Sunday and we had so much fun! I have not really ever done puppets myself so I wasn’t sure of where to start but me, evan, and chris just started sharing what we knew trying to figure out how to explain to them how to use a puppet. Sure enough they caught on fast and we had so much fun! We have only done it for one Sunday so far but I can’t wait until we get to practice again next week!
