Victory is Ours!

WOOHOO! I am in such an excited mood right now! I don’t even know if I can share my excitement in words! Yesterday was such a fruitful day. One of those days that I just wonder how it could have gotten any better! Sunday morning service was really amazing! Rick Webb preached and about 10 people gave their lives to the Lord. I was in Sunday School with Rachel and Levi (Rick Webb’s children.) Rachel taught a lesson and Levi helped and said a few words. At the end of the lesson they both handed out tootsie rolls from the States! The kids went crazy and loved the candy and our special guests so much! It was such a treat for me to just to see all their very happy faces! The children barely ever get candy and especially have never had candy like that from the States! It was a treat for us all!

Sunday night our missionary group was split. We went to a crusade on another part of town. A new church just opened a few months back and they had one of their first crusades with Rick Webb! He did an awesome job preaching and many people were listing with ears open to everything he said. His illustrations were wonderful and really had lots of people standing just to see what he would do next! One illustration was with a huge knife known as a “panga”. Another prop he used was a miner’s light. People here have never seen one before. That was really cool!

The other half of our missionary group, J.B. and Gail along with their children and Chris went to an open air given by our church in an area called Kawangware. (I was not present here so this report is from what I have heard and seen in pictures) They began on one side of the road with speakers and a lot of singing and dancing. Soon the street was full on both sides and the people began to block the road. The estimate of people watching was 1500! 30 people came up to give their lives to the Lord and many raised their hands in the back that weren’t able to make it to the front. People really got touched and many will be coming to V.W.O on Sunday morning!

An open air is not an advertised crusade. It is simply a spur of the moment set up and service on the spot. We do them every Sunday night in different areas to get the name of the church out and get people saved more than in just the 2 miles around the church. Seeing 1500 people stop and watch and 30 get saved without any advertising is an awesome experience in itself! It proves that you don’t need nice posters and a huge platform to bring people to the Lord. It also really has been helping our people to grow in the Lord. They witness during the altar calls and have to give their testimonies very often! Through these I really have seen many of our recently saved people grow so much in the Lord!

What a GREAT day! I can’t believe how much God is doing every Sunday! Praise God!
Love you all and miss you! We are doing wonderful over here beating up the Devil! Every one is healthy and happy! Thank you for everything!
