The work has just begun!

Workers Attend Hut! Well, this week has been extremely busy! I mean you don’t get much busier than what we have been facing! Mostly my dad has been in the action, but when his hands are involved out feet are thrown in too! So the entire week was insanely crazy with the land and stuff! I mean they are working HARD down at the church! Daddy was the only one who actually got to be in on the action and down at the church the whole week, so the rest of us were home yearning to go down there and join in on the fun! Saturday was our day! This is where the military commands came in and lots of first aid! It started out so wonderful! We were throwing rocks, getting work done. It was great! That was the first load of trucks. Then they kept coming. Pretty soon not only did my hands have a Thick layer of mud on them (I couldn’t even feel the pointy rocks anymore) but my arms were aching! These rocks weren’t little things that you pick up and try to skip across a lake. These were like what you use to rock climb on when you are in the mountains! Then after they were all carried to where they needed to go, we had to break them into smaller ones with a sledge hammer! (although that was pretty fun!) For lunch we had some Awesome beans and chapattis (African tortillas.) And we unloaded and broke 4 truck loads of rock! It was a blast. I got tons of mud in my eyes and had to dig it out with muddy hands. Me and Gail got our hands cut pretty bad! It was all worth it in the end though! Contrary to what Kenyan’s say about white WOMAN, we proved that white folk can get their hands dirty and work, and had So much fun while doing it!
