YEEHAW! We have had a rockin’ last couple of days, let me tell you! Sunday morning started we started off with a flooded tent, pouring rain everywhere, and Holy Ghost filled people wanting to have church! Our options weren’t many, actually we only had one, there was a near by hotel that had a “conference room.” If there were fire departments here the Fire Capacity would have been about 75 for that room. So it was a bit small but we weren’t sure if people would come out in the rain anyway! Regardless we set up in this hidden back room of a hotel. It was very muddy all around there and because everyone has to walk, I must admit my faith wasn’t very high for many people showing up. I was thinking we will have a short service, be done, and go home. God had different plans for our church in the middle of Nairobi. We got all set up in this small but quaint room. 10 minutes before service started we had about 10 people. After church had started, we were singing and praising the Lord, people began showing up by the tens! Before I new it I was asking the hotel if they had any more chairs because we were packed. All the way until service was over we were packing chairs in there. The final total was 180 people in that room. There was standing room only…actually there wasn’t even that! My mom and I stood outside of the room and listened to my dad preach from there. We had a Holy Ghost filled service, and at the end even more people got filled with the Holy Spirit! It was a GREAT service. It went for about 3 hours with praise! The mud didn’t stop anyone and defiantly didn’t stop God! This service was one of the best we have had. I know that if we had a permanent piece of land and put up the big tent that we would fill it in no time flat! Please pray that we will be able to find at least one acre of land that is visible from the main road (Ngong Road). We weren’t specific about how much rain we wanted and see what happened, so I believe we need to be specific about our prayer for land!
