December is fun!

Ok, today i have a funny story. Or atleast i thought it was funny. My nanny got me a sewing machine for over here (isn't she wonderful) (no it is not time to laugh yet!) so i was like "Hey a sewing machine i have been wanting one of these forever YES!!!! now i can sew dresses for little girls in the church and i can sew up all kids of things!! it is going to be so easy and fun" easy being the key word. now if you know how to sew and remember when you were first learning you will remeber a little bit about how math is so important in this fine art of making a little things.
(ok we will get back to the sewing machine now i have to explain another part of the story)
While i was in the states me and jess and kristin were shopping at jcpenney (like we did everyday :) and me and jess were buying these really cute sweaters. after i had already checked out and paid i realized that mine had a rip in it. now being the Jones that i am i thought it would be worth it to keep the sweater if i got a discount!! ok so i talked the lady into giving me a discout and so she rang the whole up over and when she gave me the money from the discount it was only like $1.10. but i was like well atleast that will buy me a ice cream right? it is better than nothing.

so tonight i was putting on the sweater and i noticed the rip it isn't that noticible it is kinda hidden but i looked at it then over at my sewing machine and thought "I could sew it!!!" now anyone that knows me knows that sometimes i get a little ahead of myself and think that it is easier than it really is. lol. but hey how hard could it be right? so i sat down at my sewing table (let me mention we were leaving in 5 minutes so i had to hurry) i finally got the transformer and everything set up and then jsut started sewing. i got the whole rip sewn and it looked great on the inside then i turned it over and there was thread coming out from everywhere!!! (oh, i forgot to mention that while i was sewing the machine was making kinda some funny noises but they didn't sound too bad.) there were big clumps of thread like a big thread ball sewn onto my sweater! so i started freaking out and cut off the thread!!! now it is swn but has these big clumps all sewn to it! how frusterating i know! so when i come back to the states and have a sweater on with clumps of thread sewn on it you will know the story behind it.

Today i also had to explain the legend of blondes in america to a lady in our church cause she had said something and i corrected her and she didn't get what i was saying and why i was correcting her. so i stood there and thought about it and she was right in the first place i was talking about something totally different and so i told her, these exact words i said to an african " i am jsut slow cause i am blonde" and she kinda just stared at me and i was like, ok it all started with the big red truck. no i didn't say that! but i explained how my roots get to me sometimes.

We are going for the kenya conference tommorow. It is 3 days long and i won't be able to get any of your emails until sunday my time but don't let that hinder you from emailing me cause i will read them when i get back and can reply right away :). but i gotta go. i write yal laters! hey tell me if the music is working on your guys computers. it took a lot of searching of html to get it on here but thanx to candace you should be hearing high school, by superchic[k]. kwahedi

To explain the picture, it is my best friend. Carmex has given me some of the best memories! it brings tears. hahaha. so i thought i would put a picture him on here to give him some honor :). tata
